Whānau Ora is an inclusive approach to providing services and opportunities to all New Zealand families wanting assistance. Whānau Ora seeks the transformation of whānau – by whānau. The service is driven by a focus that whānau will be self-managing; live healthy lifestyles; and participate fully in society to create a sense of health and well-being.

Mai Whānau is a service that runs under the Whānau Ora scheme. The Mai Whānau service supports you and your whanau to achieve your dreams and aspirations through transforming future development and success. This service can help you with:
- Gaining a drivers license
- Preparing a budget
- Access to counselling services
- Help to quit smoking or gambling
- Developing a better understanding of NCEA
- Accessing educational support for you and your tamariki
- Saving and budgeting
- Accessing specialist medical support
- Gaining employment
